Does the student take regular medication for any medical conditions? If ‘Yes’, it is advisable to bring this medicine to New Zealand as long as it is prescribed by a medical practitioner. The student is responsible for declaring all prescription medicines and controlled drugs on their arrival card and for carrying the correct documentation (prescription or doctor’s letter) and original labelled containers. Travellers must also comply with quantity limits (generally up to three months’ supply for prescription medicines and one month for controlled drugs).
